David Wasser is an experienced psychologist licensed in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Dr. Wasser earned his B.A. from Brandeis University and an M.F.A. from Columbia University, before receiving his M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from The Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University. There he trained in psychotherapy, assessment, and psychological research. He has also received training in Adolescent Psychology and in Family Therapy at Belmont Behavioral Hospital.

During his almost 30 years of practice, David Wasser has worked with adolescents and adults in his private practice and in hospital settings and has worked as a clinician and manager in a forensic setting for 19 years performing therapy and assessment.

Dr. Wasser is an active psychodynamic therapist who incorporates cognitive and behavioral techniques with insights from Mindfulness and Family Therapy. He works with individuals who are experiencing distress or want to improve communication or to learn more about themselves. Experienced in the treatment of depression, anxiety and interpersonal problems, Dr. Wasser believes that talking to a compassionate, attentive, insightful and non-judgmental listener can be curative and fulfilling.
